McLaren’s P1 supercar – image: McLaren
So far, McLaren has been tight-lipped about the potential output of its new P1 supercar. Until now, all we’ve known for certain is that it will benefit from a supplemental Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), meant to boost horsepower under acceleration. For many years, 4MATIC has been Mercedes-Benz’s designation for its all-wheel drive models, from the C- to the CL-Class and of course its ever-growing portfolio of SUVs. Despite the common name, the German manufacturer offered no less than four different AWD systems, depending on the model and its customers’ needs – i.e., a G-Wagen has a different system than a CLS. When Chrysler inspired the modern minivan segment almost 30 years ago, the expectations from the vehicle were quite modest. With an audio cassette player serving as the most high-tech equipment, the minivan’s first appearance in late 1983 was dependent on offering superior space and ergonomics few other vehicles replicated at the time. As the automotive sector reaches the end of 2012, the one-time novelties of the first Dodge and Plymouth minivans are now properties of so many crossover vehi…

The report compared the percentage of severely under-inflated tires on passenger vehicles in model years 2004-2007 that came with and without tire pressure monitoring systems. A severely under-inflated tire is defined as 25 percent or more below the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended infl…
