Scion’s tC coupe was completely reworked for 2011, but it’s already time for the first special edition: the tC Release Series 7.0. As you may have surmised, it’s the seventh Release Series model based on the tC—spanning both generations—and it follows the pattern laid out for RS models: special paint, aesthetic add-ons, and limited availability. Back in the day, special editions used to pack things that we actually needed. They had higher horsepower ratings, tightened suspensions and they even did away with creature comforts like rear seats and air conditioning in the name of outright performance.
