This Used to be a 1983 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Before it Entered eBay Hell

The third generation of the Pontiac Firebird will likely be remembered by the masses for its key role in the popular 1980s television series Knight Rider as KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand), a specially modified version of the Trans AM model with high tech crime-fighting equipment. In real life, the Trans Am was available as a specialty package for the Firebird usually offering upgraded handling through suspension modifications, more power under the hood and exclusive styling features. Hemmings Find of the Day – 1966 Pontiac Bonneville hearse/ambulance

It’s tough to decide what to do with a car in sad shape like this 1966 Pontiac Bonneville bodied by Superior as a hearse/ambulance combo for sale on Hemmings.com. It’s an unusual car, so it probably deserves restoration, but as we all know, the more unusual a car is, the harder the restoration will be, and perhaps its ambulance/hearse-specific parts could be better used in the restoration of another Superior Bonneville? What would you do with it? From the seller’s description:
The car …

1972 Pontiac GTO Wagon

My brother contributor Big Chris went to his local county fair and came upon what appears to be one of the rarest muscle cars in the civilized world: a 1972 Pontiac GTO station wagon.

The recipe for a muscle car is simple: take a "compact" or "intermediate" car and stuff the biggest, most torque-happy V-8 you can get away with into the engine bay, matched to a transmission and differential of appropriate stoutness. The result is a fire-breathing terror of the dragstrip, a vehicle th…

Hemmings Find of the Day – 1965 Pontiac GTO

I don’t care that this 1965 Pontiac GTO for sale on Hemmings.com didn’t start out as a black car. I don’t care if black with a red pinstripe, red stripe tires, dogdishes, and white gut is even correct for a 1965 GTO, because this is one sharp car, and well done too, judging from the photos. From the seller’s description:
2 Owner PHS Documented 1965 Pontiac GTO.  389ci/4bbl. 335HP. 3.23 axle. Steering Column mounted automatic shifter.  Original interior is in amazing condition w…

This is the Holden Commodore….once the Pontiac G8…now the Chevrolet SS, and coming to US shores soon

Speculation around a Chevrolet SS has been bouncing around for a little while now. With the re-vamped Chevy Impala making the auto show rounds, many hoped there would be a rebirth of the SS variant. When asked the folks at Chevy would neither confirm or deny a new SS which of course caused speculation to run rampant.
Well the speculation can finally end. It would appear that the Holden Commodore will be shipped to the US and badged as the Chevy SS. If the name Holden rings a bell it is because much of th…
