Mercedes planning many variants of next S-Class, considering CL-Class Convertible

It’s no surprise that Mercedes-Benz has been slipping behind its closest competitors including BMW and Lexus. For the past 5 months, BMW has outsold both Mercedes-Benz and Lexus. The Daimler AG owned brand sales dropped 1.9 percent to 18,477 units in August 2011.

Report: BMW planning to launch app for music on demand

Online-music-service provider MOG is working with BMW to create a new application for the luxury brand’s cars. The purpose behind the app is to provide drivers with on-demand, streaming music for their car.
The BMW 6-series, set to release this fall, will the first to feature the application. It will be ad-free unlimited listening, and feature mobile storage for music, search and tag functions, listening to curated content.

Coda partners with China’s Great Wall Motors, planning for new car and Nissan LEAF competitor

California-based electric car maker Coda has just announced today that in order to make sure its efforts are well-supported, they will partner with China’s Great Wall Motors to develop new global electric vehicles, including a potential Chinese-American competitor to the Nissan LEAF.

Mercedes-Benz Planning CLC Small Sedan for 2013, All-Wheel-Drive AMG Version

Mercedes-Benz will soon expand upon its small-car lineup with compact sedan called the CLC. Styled after the swooping, coupe-like CLS, the front-wheel-drive CLC should debut by late 2013. According to Autocar, we can also expect a high-performance AMG version of the new CLC.
