Rolls-Royce Phantom Aviator Collection Debuts with ‘Rolls-Royce of Cupholders’

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe might already feel like a private jet, but in the interest of paying homage to its aviation history, Rolls unveiled a tarted-up Phantom Coupe special edition called the Aviator Collection. Based on the Phantom Coupe, the Aviator Collection adds a smattering of design tweaks to the already sumptuous car. The coupe [...]

Citing Range Issues, Rolls-Royce Nixes Electric Phantom

Sometimes things work out better in theory than in practice. Rolls-Royce is finding that to be the case with electric power. A few years back images of a Phantom surfaced with “Dual Mode” hybrid badges.
It turned out to be the owner pulling a joke, but the idea has been considered. More seriously though, an electric Phantom has been brought up for discussion numerous times over the past few years. We remember hearing about it back in 2009. Then, last year the 102EX Concept was shown off …

Latest Phantom Camera Shoots Hi-Def Video More Than Twice As Slow As Before

Phantom v1610 Stan HoraczekBigger! Better! Slower!
Vision Research, makers of the Phantom line of cameras that we love so thoroughly, just announced two new additions to the Phantom family, the v1210 and the laughably powerful v1610. Egg Meets Black Cat Firecracker Messiness results
The Phantom line of ultra-high-speed video cameras have held PopSci’s rapt attention even before the v12 model won our Best of What’s New Award in 2008. So what better way to celebrate our nation’s independence than aiming a Phantom v641 from New Jersey’s Vision Research at all manner of explosives, resulting in high-definition footage of fireworks going off at a glorious 2,000 frames per second?

Rolls-Royce owner gets a little crazy with his bespoke Phantom

SuperVettura has a fully custom Rolls Royce Phantom in the works. The owner, a gentleman named Alan, took a rainy days’ inspiration to UK jewelery designer Pablo Rabiella to give life to his colorful vision, and then teamed up with Supervettura to execute it.
Alan resides in the UK and keeps a collection of highly desirable supercars including the Lamborghini Murcielago LP40 roadster, Pagani Zonda F Roadster, and the not to be missed custom Phantom.
With all the gloomy weather in the UK Alan felt …

Rolls Royce Owners Adds Some Color to Phantom Limo

Back in the mid-1990s, Volkswagen’s designers came up with a bright idea (literally…) involving the Polo supermini and the colorful theatrical character Harlequin. The result was the Polo Harlekin or Harlequin featuring a multi-colored body. Against all odds, the strange looking Polo proved to be a moderate success with Volkswagen boosting the initial production run from 1,000 cars to a total of around 3,800 units. Apparently, the allure of a multicolored car isn’t limited to the masses as the own…
