Ford to recall 2013 Escape, Fusion models to address engine fire risk, drivers advised to park

Ford is issuing a voluntary safety recall of 2013 Escape SUV and Fusion sedans equipped with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine over concerns they can overheat, creating a fire risk.

Ford is advising customers to contact their dealers to arrange alternative transportation, at no cost, until a repair can be made. At this time, the repair process and parts are being developed, with no announced date for availability. Customers will be notified when the work can be performed.

BTCC: Plato takes last lap Pole at Oulton Park

MG KX Momentum Racing’s Jason Plato has taken his second pole position of the season and will lead away the field in tomorrow’s first race of three races in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Oulton Park.

Plato dominated the day by posting fastest time in both morning Free Practice sessions, the first help in largely wet conditions and the second in dry conditions that was cut short due to a number of incidents.
