A Giant Mysterious Eyeball And More Amazing Pictures

Mystery Eyeball This softball-sized eyeball washed up on the shore in Pompano Beach, Florida this Wednesday. Scientists aren’t sure what animal it belongs to, although they note that giant squid often have eyeballs this large or even larger, and that it is not uncommon for them to become unattached. Toyota RAV4 EV delivers more range, less rage

In our experience, the Toyota RAV4 EV has proven to be smooth-running and powerful, with an impressive range.

Over the next three years, the company plans to make and sell only 2,600 examples of this all-electric SUV. At $49,800, it may be expensive for a smallish front-drive-only model ($39,800 after tax rebates in California), but it sure is fun.

Understand that this is not some hurry-up conversion phoned in at the eleventh hour. Rather, the RAV4 EV is a well thought out, thoroughly developed, and …

2013 Honda CR-Z Updated for Europe with More Power, Changes Coming Here Soon [2012 Paris Auto Show]

As the hybrid and plug-in hybrid wars have begun to heat up during the past year, it’s easy to forget Honda’s sporty and impractical CR-Z hybrid even exists. When the two-seat CR-Z was introduced to our market for 2011, we found it to be reasonably engaging to drive, albeit slow and a car that tried to satisfy both enthusiasts and hypermilers without total success. Apparently, consumers have had an equally lukewarm reaction to the little two-seater, snapping up roughly just 11,000 of them in 2011, a…

Report: Land Rover releases new more affordable 2013 Range Rover Evoque Pure

WorldCarFans reports that Land Rover has just introduced a new version of the Range Rover Evoque called the Evoque Pure. And what makes this specific Evoque so special is that it’s a more affordable version—it start’s at $2,000 cheaper than the outgoing base model.
This reduction in pricing was enabled by the removal of the panoramic glass roof. In its place is a sheet of aluminum. On the inside, the leather was replaced by Dinamica synthetic suede.
As a result, the 2013 Range Rover Evoque Pure sta…

GM recalls more than 420,00 cars due to transmission and turn signal problems

General Motors has recalled 426,240 of its 2007-2010 Saturn Aura and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 vehicles equipped with 4-speed automatic transmissions, because the parked cars can potentially roll away if the tabs on the transmission shift cable end fracture and separate.

GM has also recalled more than 4,700 of its 2013 Chevrolet Sonic because the body control module (BCM) on these vehicles can fail to notify drivers when a turn signal bulb has burned out. Without a working turn signal,…

2013 Toyota Verso Compact MPV Facelift Sports More Revisions Than You Think

If you take a quick look through our image gallery of the 2013 Toyota Verso, you will be forgiven to think that the only differentiating factor between the facelifted and the outgoing model is the sharper design of the minivan's front end that has been brought in line with the revamped Auris, Yaris and Avensis models. The truth is, though, that Toyota has actually changed 470 parts on the 2013 model year Verso and claims that it represents "a comprehensive mid-lifecycle model upgrade". Be…
