One of our readers has spotted the all-new Ford Mondeo on UK soil for the first time, revealing it’s still on track for a March 2013 on-sale date. Like the Focus, the new Mondeo is a world car that will be sold unchanged around the globe and it has already been unveiled as the Fusion in the US. Judging from these spy shots, Ford is just preparing the finishing touches before the car is officially revealed as the Mondeo. It rides on a completely new chassis and gets a completely new body but …

Tis the weekend of leaks. After pictures of the 2013 Dodge Dart compact sedan made the internet rounds on Saturday, Czech website Auto Forum posted two blown photos of what they say is the 2012 Mondeo, and which as you already know, won't be any different from the 2013 Fusion that will receive its global premiere at the Detroit Auto Show next week. Ford has given us one more reason to be jealous of Europe, as evidenced by these spy shots of the next-gen Mondeo wagon. The Mondeo is Ford’s mid-size player in the European market, and is distantly related to the current U.S.-market Ford Fusion. A new model is set to arrive in 2013, and is also planned to form the basis for the next-generation Fusion in America. Knowing that the makings of the next Ford Fusion lie beneath the skin of this test mule, perhaps a blue-oval-badged wagon is in our future…

The end of the current European market Mondeo and North American Fusion is nearing as Ford is ramping up tests of a new common replacement for both models in the mid-size category. We've already shown you spy pictures of the sedan model, but now our scoopers captured a test-mule of the station wagon derivative. It’s too early for Ford to talk about availability, but it's fairly certain that the Estate version of the next Mondeo/Fusion series will not be sold in the States. Read more »Copyrig…

Each week, our German correspondent slices and dices the latest rumblings, news, and quick-hit driving impressions from the other side of the pond. His byline may say Jens Meiners, but we simply call him . . . the Continental.
The Frankfurt auto show has closed its doors for another two years, and I am recovering from miles of walking corridors and exhibition areas with no air conditioning. This year’s IAA did not send a coherent message, whi…

Our spy photographers captured a development prototype of Ford's new global mid-size sedan sporting a modified platform but with most body parts sourced from the current Mondeo saloon, during testing in Europe. In the likes of the latest Fiesta and more recently, the new Focus that are available in more or less the same form worldwide, the next generation of the Mondeo will serve as truly global model for Ford in the popular mid-size segment.Read more »Copyright © Carscoop.blogspot.com – All R…

The next-generation Ford Mondeo was spotted in Europe on a transport truck. You may be thinking “Great, another Euro-only model we’ll never see here, so why should I care?” Except for the fact that the next-generation Mondeo will also be the basis of the next-generation Ford Fusion, Motor Trend’s 2010 Car of the Year, and one of Ford’s biggest success stories in the North American market in the past several years.
The current Mondeo has been praised by the European automotive media for its ref…
