Lincoln MKZ Concept to debut at 2012 Detroit Auto Show

Lincoln’s current midsizer, the MKZ, has been with us since about 2005 and has seen some decent success. So it’s no wonder that Lincoln has confirmed that they’ll be unveiling a new MKZ Concept at next year’s 2012 Detroit Motor Show.

Holy Roller: 1964 Lincoln Continental Popemobile Up For Auction

Just as U.S. presidents once had a penchant for Lincolns, so did the pope. One former Popemobile, a specially-built 1964 Lincoln Continental Limousine is up for auction at Bonhams on August 19 in California where it could fetch up to $350,000.

Former Lincoln Popemobile being auctioned off

The Quail Lodge auto auction is an upcoming even in California that puts a variety of interesting vehicles up. One outstanding model is a 1964 Lincoln Continental Limousine that was customized for Pope Paul VI.
The former Pope was coming to New York City from the Vatican in 1985, and needed the car to travel through the streets of the city on a trip to the United Nations. He gave a speech there for World Peace.
