The interior of the 2014 Corvette Stingray
In the current C6 Corvette, the interior is something you try to simply overlook because the rest of the car is so good. The switchgear is straight out of the GM bargain parts bin, while the thin and flimsy seats are designed by Spanish Inquisition star Torquemada and built, apparently, by Playskool. In a $25,000 car, the interior was forgivable, but at the Corvette’s price point it drew near-universal criticism.

When you have a product launch that is as highly anticipated as the Chevrolet Corvette C7, there are bound to be leaks. It all started when Jalopnik saw a few uncovered C7 prototypes quite some time ago. They risked General Motor’s wrath by posting a rendering depicting the new car. By nearly anyone’s standards, the current C6 Corvette is a remarkable sports car. Even in base form, the Corvette is capable of truly impressive on-track performance, yet it doesn’t punish those who prefer to use it as a daily driver. We’d go so far as to call the Corvette an easy car to drive fast, since its electro-nannies forgive a lot of sins made by inexperienced drivers.
