Gilmore Car Museum surprises
What a difference a year has made at the Gilmore Car Museum. We have not been there since the new Genevieve and Donald S. Gilmore Automotive Heritage Center was completed last winter.

* One of the news items we didn’t have room for this week was this life-size tree full of parts for a “kit” of a replica of the 1959 Aston Martin DBR1 that won that year’s Le Mans with Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori at the wheel. Bonhams will auction it off at its Bonhams Goodwood Revival Sale, scheduled for September 15.
