Top Gear USA’s Tanner Foust Takes 650-HP Hennessey CTS-V Wagon For a Spin

Some automotive enthusiasts who grew up watching Jeremy Clarkson on the original Top Gear have expressed their brutal honesty towards the new Top Gear USA show staring Tanner Foust, Adam Ferrara and Rutledge Wood. In most of the cases they either loved it or hated it. Regardless, one thing to love about the show is the hoonary that goes on including Tanner’s recent spin in John Hennessey’s daily driven 650-horsepower Cadillac CTS-V Wagon. Check him out going for a ‘milk-run’ as he says in the v…

Hennessey introduces the Cadillac V1000 CTS-V Coupe

Hennessey has been around in the performance world for quite awhile and have made some marvelous machines, but their newest rendition of the already powerful Cadillac CTS-V coupe, the V1000, is just insane. As the moniker suggests, the 7.0L v8 under the hood puts down 1000 horsepower and almost as much torque leaving us with [...]

Review: 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon is mean grocery getter

I was never really a big fan of station wagons. I always thought that, while providing a very utilitarian purpose, they were very boring. Something that those pompous folks from Princeton, New Jersey would drive (seriously, it’s almost like Station Wagon World out there), or a family man’s alternative to the minivan.
However, one day, a General Motors press fleet manager gave me a call asking if I would like to get behind the wheel of a Cadillac CTS-V. Having already driven the Cadillac CTS-V Sedan …

Hennessey to Build Few 1000 HP Cadillac CTS-V Coupes

Houston-based tuner Hennessey already offers a CARB legal 700 horsepower upgrade for the Cadillac CTS-V’s stock 556-hp supercharged 6.2-liter V-8. Now, for a handful of customers John Hennessey is offering a 1000-hp Cadillac CTS-V.
For the 700-hp package Hennessey keeps the factory supercharger but replaces the stock supercharger pulley with a smaller one upping boost from 9 psi to 13.5 psi; ports the factory heads; installs a bigger camshaft; and lets the engine inhale through a larger, smoother cold…

Hennesseey Introduces Cadillac CTS-V V1000 Twin-Turbo

Sometimes, enough is just never enough. To most, 550 horsepower in the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is considered extremely fast. Hennessey Automotive begs to differ though, always pushing the boundaries of automotive insanity. But hey, insanity can be a lot of fun huh? Especially on a track. Now, the company is releasing a new Cadillac Hennessey V1000 Twin Turbo CTS-V Coupe. This car comes on the heels of V700 upgrade that was previously introduced. Hennessey V1000: A 1,000-hp tuning package for the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

Cadillac’s already amazing CTS-V has gotten an equally awesome tune. The Hennessey V1000 packs major power, sleek exterior mods, and interior, or lack thereof, upgrades as well.
Getting straight to it, Hennessey got under the hood and tuned the already 556-hp monster up to almost double the horsepower, at 1,000-hp, and 950 lb-ft of torque. With a top speed of 230-mph, the tuner is projecting a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds. The V1000′s twin turbo 427ci LS V8 down a quarter mile run in just 10.9 s…

2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan Black Diamond Edition Road Trip, Part Two

By Chris Haak In Part One, we read about the planning of this road trip, driving off the beaten path (sometimes too far off of it). Shortly after we made the route change, we found ourselves on MD 51, with instructions to turn right in the next few miles. When we made the turn as [...]
