SIA Flashback – Race Car/Luxury Car: 1954 Lincoln Capri

Indeed, as Arch Brown wrote, it’s almost a contradiction in terms to see a luxury car competing (and competing successfully) in motorsports, but there have been plenty of such instances throughout automotive history, including the Stroppe-prepared Lincolns that made a strong showing at the original La Carrera Panamericana. Brown related the story of the Crawford-driven 1954 Lincoln Capri for SIA #128, March 1992.
